Normally, the Nickelodeon awards take place in late March or early April, on a Saturday night. The show acknowledges the year's most influential television shows, movies and music, which are decided by the votes from worldwide viewers. Winners receive an attractive, vibrant orange figurine.
The Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards (KCA) is a prize ceremony, a yearly show for American children that is organized by the channel Nickelodeon. This year's KCA gave viewers the authority to choose the winners.
March 28, 2020, is the predicted date for the event next year, however, official statements are yet to come. While waiting for the year to end, let’s take a look and understand how the voting process works, so that you don't miss out on any opportunity to vote.
Votes are collected by the following methods.
- On the official Nickelodeon KCA website: One vote is considered for each click by an individual.
- From Twitter: An individual can cast his or her vote for all the international categories by typing a tweet with the following hashtag: #KCA and the #vote +nominee-specific hashtag, which has been demonstrated by the Nickelodeon team.
- A vote is counted as per the post made by an individual. It should include appropriate voting be valid.
- Votes from Twitter will only be recognized if the account of that individual is public, has an avatar and has more than 10 followers.
- The profile must be created at least 24-hours before the relevant vote is posted.
- Extra votes are counted on each retweet of a successful vote post.
- Instagram: To vote via Instagram #vote+/nominee-, as described by the Nickelodeon International team must be included. A vote is only counted if it contains the relevant voting hashtags.
Votes through Instagram will be accepted only if:
- The account is public.
- Has an image in the avatar.
- Has 10+ followers.
- Was created at least 24-hours ahead of voting.
- Via their official app.
A maximum of 100 votes in a day are accepted from the website, Twitter, Instagram, and Play store app. Votes surpassing this amount will not be allowed or included.
